The Cowboy Mafia - Tampa Bay, FL Rock & Roll

The Cowboy Mafia

four men walking

The Cowboy Mafia is a fast paced, in your face, Rock & Roll band from Tampa Bay, FL. We're available to play any location or event, whether it be a hit and run set of our original music at a venue or a night of smooth and cool covers for your bar or club.

Our original music has been likened to bands such as Motorhead and Buckcherry, and we've even had a unique genre coined for our music--Punk & Roll. We've taken our original act to such clubs as Bourbon Street, Crowbar, Market on Seventh, The Garage, Brass Mug, and Cafe Bohemia. We're trying to bring back the true spirit of live Rock & Roll music which has been lost for quite some time now. If you're in need of some good, old fashioned Rock & Roll, then click the contact link above to book us.

In addition to our original music we have developed a unique set of cover tunes for our all night bar gigs. We play music that we enjoy and can identify with, not just tunes for the sake of playing. Our cover songs range from the 1950's clear into modern music, and our cover set consists of hits from The Rolling Stones, CCR, Johnny Cash, Social Distortion, Molly Hatchet, Cream, Chuck Berry, and more. Our cover act has taken us to some great places such as Hennessy's, The Hideaway, Biff Burger, Two Buks, Dave's Aqua Lounge, and everywhere in between. Let us be your house band for the night, and we guarantee your customers will thank you.

A Florida transplant from New Jersey, Frankie has the NYC Rock & Roll sound fused with some of that southern swamp music and cowboy twang. He's a former member of The Sixxxgun Saloon. Frankie plays Gretsch & Gibson guitars, Metropoulos & Vox amps, and uses Heil microphones.
Doctor Forge
Bass, Vocals

Straight from Queens, Doctor Forge is a master of classic rock and funk bass. He might look white, but you'll swear he's not when you hear him play. His previous acts include State of Mind and The Sixxxgun Saloon. Doc plays Fender and Rickenbacker basses, Ampeg amps, and uses Heil microphones.
Frankie Mob
Guitars, Vocals

Self-proclaimed to be a 552 year old vampire, Frankie Mob comes from the streets of Essex County, New Jersey. You've never heard a Stratocaster like his; it's rumored to be possesed. Frankie is formerly a member of Trilogy and Frankie Mob. He plays Fender and Gibson guitars, Marshall amps, and uses EV microphones.
Thumper Orion
Drums, Vocals

The Cowboy Mafia's southern connection, Thumper comes straight from West Virginia and ties the band together with his 80's-style drumming. Lots of hair, lots of energy, and perfect meter make this guy the reason you can't help but get up and dance. Former drummer of the band Lazarus. Thumper plays Mapex and Pearl drums, Zildjian cymbals, and uses Crown microphones.
